Knee Problem & likely operation

Today was a horrifying day. Came back from relief with dear in the afternoon and started unpacking my stuff. Dear was sleeping. Was just trying on clothes for next week when i dropped my hair clip. Bent down, pick it up and the next moment the sound I heard was that of " CRackk, crracckk...cracckk.." My knee gave way and I crumpled onto the floor. Was crying in pain on the floor but didn't wake Yanhan up because was he was so sound asleep. I sat there for a good old 5 mins tearing, finally had the courage to slowly straighten my leg. It felt horrible. The pain was excruciating and I had difficulty trying to stand.

In the evening, told my parents about my knee and we went to see the neighbourhood clinic doctor for advice. He got us a referral letter to Dr. Ravipillay @ Mount E. Hospital. The scheduled appointment is this coming 09 June (Tuesday) at 930am. I cried after hearing what my clinic doctor said and couldnt stop thinking of the worse scenario. He was talking about the high chance of a broken cartilage between my knee bones. And a scope will be necessary if Dr. Ravipillay is not sure if there is even a crack in the cartilage. And if the cartilage is really broken or cracked, an operation will be necessary to take the chipped parts out. However, if the scope presents the finding of a entirely cracked cartilage, the whole piece will have to be taken out and no more intensive sports for me. Not even high heels. After hearing, I couldnt control my tears. I mean it felt really embarassing crying in front of the doctor, my dad and yanhan. It actually felt worse thinking of the sports I cannot play anymore like Netball, Basketball, Volleyball... and what? high heels...

I really broke down that night. I mean Im only 22 and this is already happening? or maybe happening? Somehow, thinking back, 3 months ago, I was walking and felt my knees wasn't pretty alright. I knew something serious is coming but didnt expect it to be so soon. Guessed as much actually, I mean 7 years of intensive track and fields- long/triple jumps, sprints (since primary school when Im going through puberty); this is really just a matter of time before my knees give way. But hey.. isn't it too early? Im too young to lose so many things right now...

But wells, was really touched when dear stayed over to comfort me and take care of me. He consoled me the whole nite and attended to the knee of mine. Thanks dear so much. Love you mum and dad so much too! Dad was really concerned for me and suggested to go for the appointment next tuesday instead (26 May) but i insisted a "wait-and-see" management. Thanks dad for your love. Thanks to yanhan's family for their support too. Thank you yanhan's mum for offering me shorter heels for relief the next week.

And thank you for those who read this and have showed me your concern.
Don't worry guys! Grace will be brave and will live my life to the fullest no matter the outcome.

Job Search

No chance of internship this summer...well, due to the 1 week Taiwan trip with dear and his family in June, I lost a chance to land myself in an internship with Boustead Salcon this vacation. Felt rather disappointed because I had planned for a 6mcs workload for this internship and was thinking of using this 6 mcs to stabilise my cap if I can achieve something good and stable by the end of this 6th sem.

Well, looks like I've got to plan something different and worthwhile as compared to an internship to compete with the rest of the people out there.. to boost and colour one's resume you know..

After thinking and discussing with yanhan about it, realized I could actually take on a different route as compared to the rest of my peers who are going through the same route of either SEP or VIP (internship)! I could actually do a "skills up-grading course" this holidays to gain outside exposure and experience in different fields for 2 good reasons! 1- knowing where my work interest lies and which jobs Im good at. 2- beautifying my resume with lots of exposure gained and skills learnt! Hey.. sounds good. haha.

Events Coordinator
So yeap! For the past 1 month, after the end of exams, I had been busy looking for jobs that can guarantee me lots of professional exposure and making sure I gain relevant experience and lifelong skills which I can apply to my permanent job next time. So Yanhan, Hongzhou and I went on searching for jobs in the line of Teaching, Events coordinator and Sales. We went to look for Kelly S. for jobs regarding exposure to the events line. They said they are actually looking for part-timers and students to carry out the work of ushers, booth menders and CSO for business events like World Health Meeting @ Suntec convention hall and the famous G-8 Summit. Thought this exposure will be really good coz it's really relevant to any jobs next time when it comes to client meetings and confidence in serving pretigious business guests.

Relief Teaching
Then, with the help of Yanhan's mum, dear and I landed ourselves in the job as a relief teacher in Serangoon Gardens Secondary School. This I must say is a perfect exposure gained in crowd control, conflict & anger management and making your mind work every second when it comes to interaction with different kinds of students. Confidence building too! :D

I really love this job. HAHA. Everybody says Im crazy (even my parents), everyone was like shooting me with many many negative remarks of students today, especially a school like what Im taking now. Hey.. But seriously, I love challenges man. Taking on neighbourhood schools like such allows me to gain much more exposure as compared to good and obedient schools like Cedar or Anglican High. Taking on good schools is really a breeze, like really just wasting your time in class and doing your own work because the students are so well-behaved! Try taking on a normal technical class in a neighbourhood school, that is what i call "earning your money's worth"! I love taking on these classes because it really push my limits to "what I can achieve" further and seriously, I have learnt a lot from these classes I've took on for about a week. I love my job!

Everyday is a brand new day for me. I look forward to meeting my handsomes and pretties in class (yes, I call all my students that). haha. Their behavior change everyday, for all classes, for all students. It's weird. These students are like chameleons. Sometimes they are their usual self (the naughty, cheeky and rowdy crowd), then sometimes they behave weirdly well! So this is when your approach to them has got to change and it's not as easy as Im putting it in words now. Ha! I must agree with yanhan's mum that these schools are just day-time zoo and the teachers? Nope. We are called zoo-keepers. Yes. Situation in school is that bad. You can really see some permanent teachers actually give up on most rowdy students because basically they are seen as animals. But seriously, I believe age gap plays a big part. I mean I am a sec sch student not long ago and I really can understand why some students just feel like punching their teachers upside-down. Some teachers are just overly ridiculous la.. I mean if you sit down in hall for an hour listening to boring talks, one will surely be restless and starts talking to people around you right? Guess what a teacher did? She actually shamed her students by asking them to "SHUT UP" and get out and sit beside her. No explanations. Really, if im a student, I would have punched her. I mean all students need respect too what. If you want the students to respect and listen to you, you've got to respect them first and not throw your weights and authority at them! But wells, sitting beside that fat female teacher, looking at how she shame her students in front of many people around them make me IRK! But what can I do? Im just a relief teacher. So wells, I just kept quiet and do my part in making sure my students behave.

Another reason for loving this Job? coz everyday is a fashion parade! I love wearing pretty pretty clothings to work! haha! alright. So yup! 1 more week at work and the June holidays is here. Going to be out of work for relief in June but I cannot wait to be back there in JULY!!! :DD YAy! Schooling rocks! =D

Art Teacher
Ahh yes. Talking about teaching reminds me of this trip HZ, YH and I took to Bukit Timah Plaza (near NUS) to sign up as an art teacher for this company called Kidz' Art! haha.. I thought this is so fun coz they actually have holiday art camps for kids and they need instructors to help coordinate the art programs and all. They said they will call us in June when the camps are starting! But there's a catch. We actually had to commit for 5 months till Dec for a 3 hour art teaching lesson every sat! So yup, thought it will be cool so we went to sign up and guess what? We had to sit through this small test to gauge our drawing capability. So we were presented 3 items on the table (a vitamin pill bottle, a Nescafe bottle and a cup) and had to do a still-life sketching. It was so much fun and HZ and I had a great laugh at dear's hideous work. HAHA! Dear's drawing is horribly terrifying.. should have taken a picture of that drawing man.. lol. I guess I must sign dear up for some art lessons soon. HAHa.

Haven't really got the free time to do these little updates in life, especially with so much commitments to tv and dear during school. haha. Chinese New Year Festive Moooood.

Went shopping with dear for CNY goodies at Chinatown. We were pestered by this bunch of uncles at the cross junction of some street. We wanted to shake them off but they kept opening jellies after jellies for us to try! We tried to turn those offers down but they just shove them into our hands... Wat the hell! So ridiculous! Like forcing customers to try!.. so after we were forced to eat, we were too embarassed not to buy anything from them and were psychoed by them to buy $20 worth of Taiwan jelly for $1.50 each gram. Then, guess what? as we turned to another street, we saw this group of youngsters selling the same thing for $1 each gram!!!! ARHHH.. just felt like punching those stupid uncles and of course myself..

Valentines' Day '09!

Gave dear 9 little gifts for V'day this year. Why? Coz it's '09! and to spell out "Happy V'Day" is 9 letters in total. HAHA.. so anyway, they are just excuses la coz I ran out of ideas.. so had to come up with lame reasons for those 9 little presents..They are inexpensive yet it took me 4 days to get those things done. Only took pictures of 2 gifts.. (below) The rest are those of Japanese cookies, a pool 8-ball mug, $20 gift voucher and I can't remember already. haha.

And dear treated me to Kuishinbo! (A Japanese buffet) :)) The snow crab there rocks! Desserts rocks too! But the rest of the food were just normal buffet style, with Jap food and of course the standard seafood. What I was impressed with was the wide variety! They actually had hotpot and chasoba! These 2 items are not common for a standard buffet. Taste wise was above average. Well, the cost is around $40+ per pax, I would say it's a must-go for once to try. Really must eat the snow crab for money's worth. :)

EVE clique outing! :)

This is most wonderful clique outing ever in 3 years! It seriously beats those mundane klas outing organised by our rep.. haha..but still that stupid Shuhui flew us kite again!!

We met at Sushi Tei (Vivocity) for dinner then played silly games at arcade and had many photoshoots at the top deck! (the arcade game really amused me..haha.. it was plain throwing balls at the screen to achieve a certain target.. so yeah.. we managed to get 40 tickets with just 2 plays and so we exchanged for 4 pencils.. -.-.. haha...). After much discussion, we decided to drive to Bukit Timah Plaza to play pool at 10pm..(and oh..tingfeng seriously sucks at pool! hahaa)

About 1230, we drove to Huixian's house so she could take her make up stuff then lastly drove to Thomson's crispy prata place for supper at 115am! :D Then heroic shaun offered to fetch Yongbin and I home after the whole thing!

hooray! Shaun, you rock! haha

We spent the night driving and exploring many different places! Well, although the time spent wasnt very long, but it is the quality that counts!
Yeah! So it was fun-filled nite with the right mix of company, unlike those boring klas outing where we will all be screaming for help to leave the company asap.. haha

Im still lovin' it..

This year's xmas gift is really a 'expectedly' bad one. Now i can really use my favourite phrase " 去死吧!" Results this sem was horribly butt-hole bad... much worse then i'd expected man.. just hoping no more of such nonsense with the coming of a new year...

I must admit this sem I studied the least as compared to the past 2 years and had many changes to my life that I've to adapt to.. like staying in hall with dear, taking part in the whole season of IFG, 21st birthday plannings, bashes and these sorts of activities.. well.. but glad to say, I didnt regret it! It wasnt a plain studying kind of life i lived.. but rather, a fulfilling, satisfied semester 5! I played hard and certainly studied hard! and Im loving the way I spent it! -claps- and yeap! Though my results are really disappointing due to a not-so-smart-me who couldnt manage so many activities and wells, it didnt complete the whole rainbow of happiness, thinking bout it... at least it wasnt so bad it destroyed my entire rainbow..haha.. and yay!

No regrets! :)) Cheers!~ coz im still lovin' it!

So right now, just hoping 2009 will be a good start to more loving it-s! and come on grace! I know u won't be beaten down that easily!

Hokkaido'08!

Just got back from Hokkaido on the 12! WHoo.. that place is like so very peaceful, nice, beautiful, cold and everything pleasant! Got to experience snow for the first time in my 21 years and grace is really happy! :)) yay! Thank god the tour group had many many teenagers and people my age and all were fun-loving people! :)) -claps!-

Alright, so here are the pretty pictures form the places I've been to in this 7- day tour!

Day1:
Singapore-> Narita Airport

Day2:
i) Sharaoi Ainu Village
- saw the Ainu culture and precious heirlooms (very beautiful scenery there too!)
- couldnt get used to the night time there.. by 4, the sky is like so dark it looks like our 8 o clock already!
ii) Noberibetsu hotel
- This is like the first time to so many things!!! That night was the first tym i :
-> see falling snow, feel snow
-> wore a kimono
-> slept in tatami room (room with no beds but just a straw mat and comforter)
-> go to hotspring! (Hotspring rocks! hahah! this experience is like so cool.. woman and man goes into separate areas and then in there, we have to strip naked before we enter the bathing area. So we are only left with this pathetic small towel that barely covers much so end up, my mum, aunt and i gave up covering haha! so yeah.. we have to bathe THOROUGHLY before entering the hotspring.. so yeah.. it's also the first time i see so many naked woman bathing together... felt totally vulnerable.. lol

well.. so we explored the place and decided to go to the outdoor hotspring.. and yup dripping wet, we opened the door and OMG! it's like so freaking cold we immediately ran in again.. haha! imagine 2 degrees and we are all vulnerably bare-bodied! So after much discussion, we decided to try the outdoor one.. and so we practically ran and tiptoed quickly into the 44 degrees hotspring.. wah.. the feeling is totally heavenly..haha.. surprisingly none of us fell sick from experiencing the drastic change in body temp. HAHA!

Day3:

i) Hell Valley
- the famous sulphurous boiling pond (seriously damn smelly)
ii) Edo Wonderland
- Edo village featured the Edo period where we watched a show on ninjas and another one on Geishas. pretty little town and very nice houses! and oh! It rained that day and the snow melted then froze again to become ice and omg.. it's super slippery..)
iii) Mount Showa
- an interesting landform that was raised from a farmland after two years of volcanic activities
iv) Bear ranch
v) Lake Toya hotel
- Another tatami style kind of hotel and hotspring again! yay!

Day4:

i) Rusutsu ski resort
- the largest all season resort.. it's like really pretty man.. so many facilities in the hotel! and there is even a monorail that takes you to different wings of the resort.. oh! there's also a huge themepark there too! (but opens only in summer :( )
ii) snow activities
- snow fights!
- snow mobile
- snow tubing
- snow rafting!

Coincidentally, that day was my bro's birthday! so my dad made this huge squarish 'ice cake" for him and jus nice! the next day was another boy's, from the tour group, birthday! And the whole tour group, including the guide, sang birthday song for both of them and threw snow balls at them after that.. haha!

Day5:

Busy day with many places to go! Here we are at Sapporo!
i) Otaru Musical Box museum
- very nice town (looks pretty rundown overall except for the streets leading to the big musical box musuem)
- so tired of shopping so our family decided to sit down at the famous LeTao's chocolate place to enjoy cakes and coffee for tea! haha! yay rocks! :))
ii) Otaru Canal
- pretty boring place (like Hokkaido's version of our Singapore river -.-)
iii) Sapporo Ishiya Choc Factory
- yay! this is like the nicest and prettiest place! The whole factory is like a palace with many many nice statues and phototaking places.. whoo! and coz it's a choc factory that makes it my fave! haha.. but wells.. couldnt see how they make the famous 白色恋人 chocolate biscuit..
iv) Susukino, Odori Park
- So here we are! The busy town of Sapporo! This is also like the red-light district area but didnt get to see the backlanes where things will be vry interesting.. haha
- Got to see the magnificent view of Sapporo TV tower, Tokeidai Clock tower and the xmas lightings! Just nice, there was also a russian fair going on at the area and it was like a mini russian town in the midst of all the yellow-skinned. haha

Day6:

i) Sapporo fresh seafood market
ii) Chitose Factory outlet
-Things there werent cheap at all even though it's factory outlet! Only the shoes were.. "out-of fashion" Nike shoes were selling at like $40-60! Ladies boots at bout $30-40! but wells.. dad claims that I've too many shoes alr.. so yup.. there goes my shopping spree. haha

Fieldtrip- Pulau Semakau landfill

Our lecturer for one module organised a field trip to Semakau Landfill during the reading week, in an attempt to help us destress from all the mugging during the week and its definitely a good way to stress us further la seriously... haha.. it's like it took away almost the whole day and we've got like no more time! haha..

oh wells.. but i think we've certainly not regretted gng for the trip! It was a great end to our Year 3 Semester 1! Our clique had so much fun there (i think) coz we were busy cam whoring the whole time that we actually chalked up 150 photos on that island.. HAHA!

Well.. didnt know the place was so pretty..coz we usually have this perception that it's a place where govt dump S'pore's rubbish and it'll certainly smell.. but it didnt! The environment was clean, serene and pretty much like a bintan island of some sort.. just that it didnt have any provision shop or beach on it.. haha

To get to the island, we have to take this boat ride over from Pasir Panjang terminal and the ride isnt cheap at all man.. like 30 pax booked ride cost around $400? yeah..

Tiger Brewery Field Trip!
This is like the most exciting and fun and memorable field trip ever man! haha..
This Tiger tour is organised by our Microbiology Prof to learn more bout fermentation of yeast by microbes into alcohol.
So throughout the field trip, we had the chance to walk around the industrial site and listening to our prof trying to put the amateur tour guide down by asking him many difficult questions.. lol.
So for about one hour plus, we visited the fermentation hall, packaging hall and etc. and oh ya! on the way, we kept smelling sth like Horlicks! ...then we realized it was malt in the making.. :)) smells so nice shuhui and I felt like drinking it.. haha

So after that pretty boring hour plus, we finally got back to the main lobby and yay! It's party time man!
It's the time everyone has been waiting for! The Tiger Tavern! =D It's this cosy little pub that has cushion seats and a bar! so like a normal pub minus the loud music..
oh and the amusing thing was that upon reaching the tavern, the tour guide immediately walked behind the bar, took up a few glasses and became the bartender.. haha.. so versatile..lol

So we were given like about 30mins to sit, drink and relax and erm.. discuss bout the worksheet given to us.. The funny scene was when everyone drank, ate peanuts, went crazy & photowhored, when the prof came to discuss bout the worksheet, all settled down like immediately and became damn serious.. HAHA

And yay! here's our enjoyment!

Scared. Alone.

I really hate to play politics and networking. Even now in school, this scenerio is widespread and I finally had a taste of it yesterday.

Yesterday was a stupid biased oral group test for a core module. It was simply a stupid idea put up by the lecturer- raising of hands and changing of rules and regulations halfway during the test is simply crazy. The whole test is freaking bias. Firstly, there is this bald master degree guy standing right at a corner, nearer to the left hand side of the class, responsible for timing, marking and looking at whose hands are up first. I tell u.. he ought to be slappppped by us. You noe y? coz his eyes are blardy cocked and he kept saying the left hand side group's hands are up first- every round. (when u noe some of our hands are obviously up first and he missed it) F* him!

Next, nearing the end of the stupid test session, tf and I smell something really fishy with one of the groups. Not saying we are looking down on people or being arrogant, but u noe sometimes its really impossible that a bunch of average student knows all the ans to the questions when Ah tiongs, zai Singaporeans dun even noe.

So we were wondering if they had senior's ans and whether the qns were recycled from last year. And Yes our suspicions fall through. The lecturer admitted she had recycled most of the qns and this guy also admitted he had the ans to them. ( NO WONDER they noe the ans immediately after the qns were read out) F* them! and the lecturer for being so blardy lazy too!

This test is such a waste of our time. It portrays the idea that you didnt get the marks not because you dont understand or dunno the qns.. its coz either your reaction is slow or some blind bat missed you out. Its so not a good gauge to your capability when marking is concerned. I would shut up if this test is just a understanding test and the whole session is just for fun and laughter peace and joy..

And guess wat? the test today is the same! Although its not oral, normal written form, but still its Recycled and a handfull of students gt ans to them!

Ok... this is a midterm for goodness sake.. i cant imagine people can be so slack (lecturers) to recycle qns thinking that we wun have access to any pass year's papers and tell me wats the logic of making us study for them when in the end, we are still gonna get owned by losers who got ans, and you noe they have lower capability then u if a game is played on a leveled playing field?!?! The system totally is screwed up and now that most of the people in the class has gotten to know the truth, i can assure u, we are gng to screw the lazy lecturers up if they are not gng to do anything about it.

After all these things happened, i really dunno who i can trust in the klas already.. my 2 most trusted besties are gng for exchange next semester and i feel im gng to be stranded on an empty island surrounded by sharks ready to swallow me up..seriously, sometimes I really have the impulse to apply for a last min exchange and fly off with them and get out of this scary, man-eat-man world..

I hate to evolve myself into a disgusting scheming vicious person who gets on top of the ladder by unscrupulous means, and i tink the world is making us to turn into these creatures we ourselves dun even understand.

oh my gooooodness meeee... Recess week has come to an end already! This is like so fast!

This semester's recess week don't feel like the usual ones i've been through for 2 years.. It just feels so weird. I just cant explain...well hope it's a good feeling :)) haha

My stupid modules this sem really sucks.. 3 modules with bio content which equates to MEMORISING.. like i say this stupid system has its stupid ways to deal with stupid students.. excuse me... can memorising bring you anywhere rather than you understand something? So dumb la i tell u! I cant stand it when sth has got to be memorised rather than understood.. like testing how BIG your blardy brain is and not how well u know a subject... RAAArr..

ok anyway, lets put those stressful stuff aside and reminence on the good old 1 week! :D

It was really a vry fun experience playing with new faces and getting to know more friends! I love team ball games! So much more fun and interesting as compared to fencing or individual sports.. haha.. Just want to thank my netballers for doing our best and although we didnt make it into the semi's, it's not really our fault. haha.. coz sad to say.. we are pretty unlucky to meet medicine and Arts! so wells.. just play enjoy and have fun! Those are the most important in IFG man! YAy! And must thank the regular HUBs (husbands and boyfriends) of the netballers for supporting us all the way from the first game to the last! thanks for boosting our morale guys!! :D

180908: Glenn's birthday!
I went home that day to celebrate bro's birthday! Dad decided to bring us to Hard Rock Cafe (opposite forum) for dinner.. :) That place is like filled with Ang Mos la and here are the pretty pics of Hard Rock!

I tell you.. the serving of food there is super ridiculous! Quality too! I didnt order my share as i was expecting a rather big portion.. but i was wrong.. it was not rather big.. it was HELL HUMUNGOUS... can imagine all of us couldnt finish like half of our food even though i didnt order! Maybe coz we had starters la.. our starters was this huge bowl of salad (thought they jus lifted the whole garden for that bowl) and a big plate of tortilla chips.. haha.. I like the starters best though. The main course was really X.X yup.. haha Wells.. I still prefer jap or italian food over American's "junk food".. lol

190908: Engin day!
It was a really "no-mood-to-study day" for yanhan and I.. so we decided to go eat Munchie Monkeys' brownie and apple pie at 830pm after bath.. haha.. but end up when we reached the place, it was closed for some entrepreneur function.. stupid..waste my tym..
Then, we remembered Derek gt bball match with SIM around that time! so we decided to go watch and support him! haha.. Pictures!

COOL man! I went down to support ah b yesterday at around 10 plus.. saw him play his zai-ness! So proud of him!! :D haha.. and guess wat? 2 girls didnt turn up for engin team 2.. so as engin didnt wan a easy walkover.. ah b asked me to play.. I relunctantly agreed as i looked down at my white slippers and feeling my cock black army specs resting on my nose..so i paired with a China guy to play mixed doubles..(I bet when i appeared to play against Arts, the 2 players thought i just woke up or sth la.. where gt ppl where cock specs and slippers to play IFG wan.. the best thing is i didnt even wear my IFG engin shirt.. HAHA) oh my goodness me... i certainly felt like a cukkoonathan yesterday.. lol ok.. it was still a vry easy win for them la.. no difference from a walkover.. the difference is that we are wasting their time.. HAHAHAH
but wells! It was fun man.. seriously.. considering i dont know how to play pingpong at all, i felt honoured to represent Engin in this sport.. HAHAHA

Happy Birthday Grace!!!! ~> you are 21 years old already! :D

WOw! My 21st bday bash was just over last weekend!
And now im back in my mugging mode to clear off the work that had been piling up since last week!
Terrible! Horrible!

The bday party went smoothly after all! So happy it did! Although the place is embarassingly small and squeezy, Im glad my friends spilled their own way out to the open w/o much trouble..
The cockroaches also played their part by not coming out to the open during the party and scaring my guests off.. haha..

(F.Y.I., the night i checked in with yanhan was totally disatrous).. this was what happened:
We checked in at about 12+am, the place was dimly-lit just like some back alley of Geylang... every step we took, we meet 1 cockroach.. thanks.. and there was this big one that ran towards us la!!! I was freaked out like crazy and that stupid yh can just quickly run in front and laugh at me! Then.. finally, we reached our unit.. ok.. there was this HUGE cockroach right on the door!!!

ARHHH.. that place is so freaking dirty and cockroach-infested im so not gng to book there AGAIN... (and btw.. that chalet was booked under choice-less conditions.. too bad as my birthday lies jus before school holidays, so elsewhere was fully booked already).

But relieved all the planning and work is over man! Can finally settle down and catch up on my work.. HAHA

So here are the people Grace really wan2 thank! :D

1. Dad and mum: driving up and down the chalet to help bring and prepare the stuff needed; dad for entertaining my friends and helping to serve alcohol! ha...

Bumpy road. Birthday bumps.

Right now, Im feeling really down.
Totally not excited about my birthday at all.
Coz my no. 1 Bestiest friend for 8 years cannot come for my party this sat...Trace has to go back to M'sia for some impt. stuff and i was really looking forward to celebrating my 21st bday with her! So rather disappointed.

Then, booked a 2 nite chalet and realized the first nite none of my family members staying over coz dad outstationed till Sat morn..So wells.. I've to settle the friday staying-in problem myself. At first the plan was worse.. dad could only touch down in Singapore on late sat nite..was pretty touched by papa when he realized the business trip clashed with my bday and changed his flight immediately..

Well..now im getting a messed up friday coz everything seems to clash.. school, Book in time, Engin bash.. Still tinking of how to savage the situation..

Besides these, dear and i are somehow travelling on a bumpy road right now.. so inevitably, it's adding on to what Im gng through.. + monthly moodswings.. this is really tough..

But well.. fortunately, we have talked about it and have promised to walk through this road together, hand-in- hand.
Dear.. Im really happy to have you by my side these emo days..
& Thanks for understanding me and I really appreciate what you have done for me and I know we can sail our way through to a much stronger and deeply anchored r/s right? :)

So he was like saying I should go for extraordinary targets for my remaining 2 years in Uni to get my mindset ready to step out into a new phase in life.. wah! sounds chim. Yes it does. Haha...

Well, thinking bout this.. i think it's true and it's certainly more fun & fulfilling!

Engin O-Week!
Being in comm is so not easy.. i much prefer to be just a councilor and Ra-Ra my group on though.. haha.. I've learnt many things (that cannot be learnt through just joining activities) throughout this o-week comm FOP! Everyday was just chiong till AM and waking up at 6-7 to prepare for the next day.. the whole week i clocked about 24 hours of slp in total and that's so not GRACE! haha.. but well I love it! and sadly, everything happened so fast that it's over before we knew it!

Sigh. ok. That's signals National Day is next and School is starting. so Shyt.

Trust.

It's not even a day and im missing dear so much already.. hmmm.. well he's gone to Temasek hall camp from today to this saturday.. a whole 6 days la!

Everyone is thinking im crazy to allow my boyfriend to stay hall. They have been quoting me experiences of others and all. Some said skimpily dressed gals will knock on ur door at night to ask u to join activities. How true? I dunno. But those are words from friends' experiences. Also, many many negative comments about hall is making me feel really insecure at this point in time.

Most of the time, putting on a smile on my face while worrying for the uncertain is really daunting. Well I really want him to enjoy himself during camp and allowing him to make/ know more friends and enlarge his social circle. But really, letting go is not easy. I said I will and do trust him.. but ultimately, saying and actually performing it is so not the same.

Well, this is just the start la. And I hope Im feeling like dat coz Im still getting use to his new sort of life. Time. I hope time can better everything presently. :)

ChESS Camp Ice cream!

Oh dear.. finally able to fish out some time to blog about ChESS camp and also upload pictures from Engin camp, ChESS camp and Redang trip.
Being busy and all with o week sentosa proposal, games try out, meetings & more meetings, chionging camps and stuff like dat, I love my life man! This is what i call enjoying life! haha..

Well, ChESS camp ended last week. It was from 15th - 18th July. I thought the camp was quite short actually! haha.. So that really shows that I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the camp man! Though the program was only a half- pass- ten, it was certainly my og - ICE CREAM that made the 4 days all so fun and entertaining!

& TaDa! Guess wat? We won Best OG! :D Well, like my freshies always says " AS USUAL...", we expected this win coz we won almost all of the games in eg. Station games, War games & Sentosa games.
But in fact, most of our points are obtained by doing stuff like tau-poking, dunking, muah-chee-ing ppl :D LOL.
Besides best og, our dearest Chai Sen won ChESS King title too! haha.. so proud of him man! Although our dearest girl- JiaHui didnt win ChESS Queen title, we thot she was the prettiest that night lo.. haha.. but too bad the pageant was held at DXO, so the 'foxy' girl stood a higher chance of winning.. haha

Seriously speaking, Im so proud of Ice cream can! This bunch of freshies is the most RaRa group I've ever taken in these 2 years as councilors la. They are the 1st group of crazy ppl i see that play cards every nite till 4am!!! so garang! :D

And yes..we really owe our win to Leonard who stirred the competitive feelings in our og! ahha... the story goes like this. Somehow that day at an Amazing race station, Leonard said nasty things to our og which angered my freshies! At that point in time, he kept saying "Don't waste my tym". So feeling really attitude, for the next few days, that particular catch phrase became our og's winning action number 5. HAHA
And especially for him, we got like a lot of bonus points just by dunking, stripping him to his undies and molesting him at Sentosa. Oh yes, there was this 2nd take of stripping Leonard bare coz my group felt that the 1st take was too soft. lol.. and yup! During the 2nd take, he lost his own undies in the sea... -.-

Overall, Im really proud of them and my councilors who help me out during the whole of the camp. Felt vry thankful to those who came to crash to help out too! :))
As a going-year- 3 Lao Kok Kok, I really feel very happy and satisfied to end 2008 camps with ICE CREAM!

IREDANG!

Wow! Just came back last night from my Redang trip with dear, cindy & Junhan! The trip was simply a blissful getaway for the 4 of us man..
We just love the Sun, Sea & Sand there!
Oh man.. for the 4 whole days, it was simply slack- relax- eat- snokel- play and daydream! Life there was just so relaxed and interesting! coz everyday we'll discover something new! haha..
But i must admit i think i gained a bit of weight over there though.. haha.. coz everyday is just eat snokel eat snokel and eat somemore!.. then slping late accompanied by "Hello Panda" & "Tao Kae Noi" :D

Well, although our resort is one-of-a-kind..nothing much like the typical classy resort but more of a camp, I love it!
Due to its small capacity and size, we are able to make friends with the manager Steven and one of the divers , 鲨鱼! We felt so much at home and cosy with the people there! Oh! and we even made friends with this group of M'sians too! haha.. so fun!
And Im happy with the location of our resort too! As its the only resort situated out at sea, we can actually dine above the waters and the rocks and enjoy the sea breeze! YAY! :D
And just behind our room, there is this rocky path that leads to the top of some rocks which allows us to sit at a height of bout 10 m above sea level and watch the beautiful sunrise out of the waters!
The view is amazingly beautiful!

Ultimately, I will never forget the beauty of Redang and the nice people over at Redang Reef Resort.

It's really a wonderful 1st time overseas with friends! &....
I'm Lovin' it! :))

P.S. oh as for the photos, it may take some time for me to upload it coz of the upcoming camps and dry runs! so well.. stay tuned people! :D

ENGIN Camp oei!.... OEI!

Last week was a whole fun tym in Engin Camp!!! 5D4N camp in Raffles Hall and Engin Fac. This was the first engin camp i've been to coz the past years, I was working and couldnt make it for the camps..
oh man! 5 days went pass like super quickly coz everyday was packed with activities and by 2am, everyone was shagged out already.. so what we could do was quickly go catch some hours of sleep before waking up the next day for a whole new day of fun and laughter!

Seriously, I really did enjoy myself sooo much at the camp! With super 'GARANG' ( meaning really enthu) freshies in my group and house, the camp gave the councilors and OGLs so much laughter and entertainment! Also, because of them, out house AZUL won BEST HOUSE!!!! and received a huge hamper full of tidbits on Finale Night!! Whoohoo!! :D

In addition, on the bbq nite, our hse was the one who bid and won most of the nice bonus food for the BBQ! hooray! Also, our hse oso won Drag Queen!!!! HAHA.. he is super cute la! my god.. just like Chun Li from Street Fighters! HAHA

Besides just points and Garang-ness, our house representative Teng Jin won the pageant king title for engin camp! and is gng to represent engin camp for Engin Bash in August! And our OG's girl- christina represented our hse for pageant and gt 1st runner's up! WHOohoo! AZUL rocks! :D

HAPPY BA ZHANG DAY!

Friday I went to help ah ma out in bao-ing ba zhang.. wah seriously.. there's so much work involved in bao-ing just 1 ba zhang! you have to like cook and fry the ingredients, wash the rice and leaves, then bao that triangular thing.. then must also look out for the fire, charcoal, water...

well, it was one whole day of hard work and sweat.. but all worth it! For my darling delicious ba zhangs.. haha! Just ate 4 today! :D 2 for breakfast, 2 for lunch then was thinking i was quite sick of eating that again that's y i didnt complete my ba zhang marathon of 2 for dinner.. haha

oh wells.. gonna drink down more 中国茶 already..if not my stomach will be stuffed with dumplings! :O

Bored.

Yanhan has gone to France for 10 days and today is the 3rd day he's away. Ahhhh.. i've been pinning for his return since he flew on sat. haha

This week is so slow and boring without him.. Monday. A wonderful 2nd year :))

2 days ago, dear and I celebrated our 2nd year!!! whoohoo! It seems like we have been together for more than 3 or 4 years though.. It felt so much longer than just 2 years... well guess coz we see each other like 4-5 times a week that's y? haha..

That morning dear gave me a big shock by appearing at my door at 830am.. coz we planned to meet at PS at 10+ the previous nite, so that morning when i heard the doorbell ring, i thot was some postman or whoever.. wanted to scold him for waking me up so early la.. then i saw that silly boy standing outside my house.. HAHA!

So dear actually took a day off to pei me go shopping!!! The whole time was basically SHOP. SHOP. SHOP and more SHOPPING! yay! haha.. we bought like so many many stuff!! coz its GSS!!! :D and the whole day that boy kept complaining we girls are so lucky coz most of our stuff are so cheap compared to the guys'..
Wah seriously! 1 whole day of shopping is already killing my feet!- considering im wearing pumps.. imagine i wore heels.. my goodness.. i think he will cry instead coz he'll have to carry me around town.. HAHA

yay! And for dinner, dear treated me to Pariss International buffet! whahaa.. It's like damn nice can! =D so much variety!! heex.. So after dinner, he said he's bringing me to Bugis to eat somemore! I was like how super bloated with food already and he still can bring me go eat!!! So i was like quite sian-ded when he said "nvrm.. you see me eat k? i just bring you and show u new place" ...
Then.. when we reached the place.. he actually surprised me by bringing me to DHL hot-air balloon!!! HAHA.. he's really a silly boy la.. *muacks!*
Well.. due to weather conditions, the hot air balloon wasnt able to operate.. so well can say wasted trip to Bugis lo.. but... I still felt super happy and surprised that dear actually thot of such an activity! haha..

JIAYING'S 21St!

Last nite was jiaying's 21st bday celeb at a pub in Outram.. It was really cool coz she's the first that held her 21st party differently apart from the normal chalet and outings..

She booked this medium sized lounge equipped with pool table and a karaoke system! It's just like k-boxing just that you have to sing for the whole lounge to hear.. haha.. it's quite an experience la and it gives me more ideas as to how im gng to plan my 21st celeb.. HAHA

A Really Great Camp! :))

Oh yay! Im back from camp! This is my first ever secondary school camp as a camp instructor.. This time, we took Bedok South Secondary 2 students :))
The camp lasted 3D2N from 2005-2205, but as for trainers/ instructors, we had to book in 1 day earlier for briefing and preparations..

Day 0- Briefing/ preparation day:

Instructors were taught the games to be played for the camp, learning how to pitch a tent, strike a tent and also getting ready for our individual stations..also, we got to know who we will be working with:) Well.. the whole day and night, it was more of a so- called bonding session for instructors ourselves la.. pretty fun and interesting! Got to know many many new friends too! haha..

Oh yes.. I couldnt really sleep well the 1st night.. haha.. maybe too excited? not used to it? i dunno.. but i was jus hoping everything goes well the next day :)) haha

Day 1:

oh YAY! day break! At 930am, the kids were here!! :D
As scheduled, I paired up with Bryan (my partner instructor for group) and we took Group A! So we named our group "Ah-CHew!" ( why? coz we are sensitive to other groups) hahaa.. super GL rite.. so damn funnie..

So in the 1st day, 1st hour, we had only 10 mins to settle admin work( attendance and misc.) + ice breakers.. there was definitely not enough tym for the whole group of 35 to know each other's names.. Somemore the best thing is that all these groups are a mixture of students from different classes..so you can see that the kids remained in the raw state and 'cliquish'!
For the kids to know Bryan's and mine name is easy.. coz there're only 2 names they have to remember..But as for us to remember all 35 names + 3 more sec 3 exco councillors' names..
wah! you can try man..

so at the end of the 1st day, Bryan and I still had great difficulty matching the kids' faces to their names.. could maybe only remember like half.. haha.. well the more prominent few..
and erm I felt quite guilty la.. when I have to ask for their names again here and then... coz kids as kids.. they like attention.. when u were to remember their names and call them out (even if it's to clean rubbish), they will feel happier.. and gives you a lil more respect.. coz at least they noe they are significant enough to be remembered.

Before lunch--> tent pitching and tent allocation with your own group
After lunch--> instructors had to leave the kids in the care of the councillors so as to rush off to prepare for our own individual stations..
I was allocated the station "Rafting" with another trainer Hilmi. The game is really fun!! Coz the kids will have to build rafts (with only spars, strings and rubber tires) that are big and sturdy enough to hold every single person in the group, then they will have to paddle their way into deeper waters, do a cheer and come back.. 2 things about this station is that 1stly it is located right at the shoreline...MY GOD! so u can imagine the kids and us are like cakes.. baked under the hot sun! 2ndly, everyone's standing on top of those small rocks that are unsteady and full of algae.. and coz of the algae, many kids fell and cut themselves against barnicles and rocks.. erm.. including me la.. huh huh.. take a look..

oh then there is dinner.. wah i swear the kids in camp are like "饿鬼".. they eat a lot and FAST! 5 mins and every single grain on their plate is gone.. Im not exaggerating man.. seriously fast! Then they ask for 2nd serving..coz of the limited portion available..we rejected them..i really pitied them though.. like they are out the whole day, tired and all and now they have not enough food.. oh yes! talking about this..coz there's not enough food for lunch, I ate 8 small bananas to keep me full before rafting.. lol.. (well.. it's actually pretty useful!) :D

Wah.. then right after dinner.. here comes the nonsense from kids..
All of them were like super restless and kept asking if they can go bathe.. imagine.. every half an hour or so.. they will pester you to allow them to bathe..and it is in the midst of preparing for their item for campfire the next nite + there'll be another activity later at nite.. the kids just dun get it.. haha
well.. it was really irritating but funny.. alas Bryan couldnt stand it anymore and showed his fierce side that shut all of them up.. haha

Ahhh.. after one whole day and nite of activity, the kids return to their tents and lights off at 2330.. however.. the instructors have to pack up and attend debriefing at 1215am!

wah.. during the debrief, my eyes were like super heavy and i was practically nodding off while Stuart and Mervin ( camp chief) were talking.. the best part was i was sitted directly opposite them.. thanks.. so i was like super embarassed but i really cant help it man! The meeting finally ended at bout 230am.. so after bathing and all.. I slpt at 330am.. wah my goodness.. 330am.. i almost died man.. haha

Day 2:

Day started at 730am for trainers..well..another day of Rafting duty!
So by 5, it was pack up pack up! and prepare for the finale!-- Campfire nite!!! :D
It was really unfortunate that that night it rained like really heavily with lightning and thunder.. so all of us shifted indoors and had camp-w/o fire.. haha.. Well... It was a really really amazing night because we all thot that the rain would dampen everybody's mood and kill the high- mood in us.. BUT! It was not the case!!! All the kids were like so wild and crazy and noisy that they made the whole indoor event a really unforgettable nite!!! =D Im really lovin' them! haha

ok.. the nite ended at 2330 for the kids and 130am for us.. however, we still need to reply comments for the kids' booklets... just like a teacher!! so fun!! it's like you see their thots and funny comments on the camp.. it just makes me wanna laugh..

Wenhao. Too exhausted from the 2 days that he slpt while writing replies..HAHA

Day 3- debriefing; end of camp!

It's time to go back home and the buses are here.. batch by batch we sent the kids off to collect their bags...so I was stationed at the bags to help them with their stuff and all..then the kids in my group walked towards me and they were like "bye instructor grace!! bye cher!" haha.. so funnie.. then they were like waving byebye and all..
Well.. so i approached a few of the more prominent kids in my group (eg. Quietest, Noisiest, Dao-iest etc.) and started giving them my last encouragement before they leave for the bus.. So there was this guy in the group who was super silent since day 1. He makes no sound or whatever in any station or cheer, or whoever that comes and talks to him( even his own klasmates)..like autistic kid..
So when i was encouraging him for the last tym, i was expecting a nod from him and that's all.. but! he actually replied "ok la cher.. " + a wide smile.. Wah.. that moment i felt damn good.. seriously.. i feel shocked and satisfied at the same time.. Can you imagine for 3 whole days, that was the first tym i see him smile and speak a word!!

HAPPYS!! :D -sense of achievement!-

oh man..i was like missing them alr!.. and it was really sad to see them leave the camp though..

GROUP Ah-Chewww!

Oh ya! and the prize presentation came as a surprise to both bryan and I man.. haha.. coz we thot our group was quite lousy compared to the rest.. unknowingly, our group actually won 3rd overall+ 1 female best camper and 1 male best camper!! whoohoo!! sooo happies!!!! :DD

ok la.. this is a really long entry so i guess it's tym i stop.. haha.. but seriously these 3 days were super fun and a great experience for me!! Wishing for many many many more!! :D

My aim this holidays.

Just listened to the prudential man talking to my parents on some insurance policy.. then my mum and dad was like discussing which policy is the better one for me... so they asked me to come and listen and help to decide.. I was like how stunned.

It's like for all this 20 years, I've been leaving everything to them to decide for me.. eg. Insurance, housing, finance.. and now.. I've to actually sit down and start learning what they are talking about.. like basic policy concerning me.

This is so damn worrying.. the moment the insurance guy asked me to sign some documents.. i was like shyt! im 21 already man.. I've to start making serious decisions concerning huge sum of money and all.. my god.. this is really scary..

ok. At least this can be thought of as a starting point for me to brush up my general knowledge on issues like basic housing and insurance policies before it's too late!

Yes. So this holidays, besides 跑-ing camps, Im going to brush up on 3 main stuff-->
1. World map (atlas knowledge)
2. Insurance & finance policies
3. Housing policies

pride.

Yesterday nite, my bros and I were watching "Are you smarter than 5th grader"..and there is this qn asking "what is the capital of United Kingdom?" then My bros were like " so easy! London lah!" Then i was stunned for a moment. Coz i thought London was in USA.. so i started arguing with them.. so our parents heard our convo and started commenting that my GK is vry lousy..

Well I guess I was just caught in that kind of irritant mood so i got vry angry coz i felt insulted.. so i went to the lil lib at home and took the atlas and swore to them im gng to remember that whole atlas by the end of this month.

Well.. at first my reading stint was purely out of pride. But reading for quite a while now, Im actually enjoying the book! haha..now im reading the atlas out of interest! that's good! :) it's pretty interesting to know where are the countries located and knowing which country is the capital of which..

Seriously, I dun blame my parents though.. i thought its actually lucky that they spite me so i would start brushing up on my GK. At least when we talk to clients or people out there next tym, we wun be laughed at for being ignorant about such BASIC knowledge on the world..

Holidays are here! yippie! :D

It's been like so long ever since i can laze in bed without feeling guilty.. haha.. It feels so damn good man. Relax. Daydream. Watch tv. Exercise. :))

Last week was a hectic week for me though my last paper ended on wednesday. Had to 赶工.. haha.. rushing dear's 21st present. This artwork took me the whole 2 days to finish doing la! my goodness..

haha.. but well.. at least it's presentable la right.. :))

Besides the present.. the planning of the surprise party for dear is also not easy man~
I actually collaborated with his sis and mum to plan this chalet surprise and with the wonderful help from my dearest meanies, yay! the party was really pretty successful haha..
I was actually in charged of the catering, cakes, his AJ classmates, Sea Soldier friends and compiling the whole program thingy.. while the mum took charge of the chalet booking and payment for catering.. then lastly..meanies helped out with the calling of their Cat high friends and actually took half day off to help out at the chalet before the party started!! well.. u must be wondering how come I have his friends' contacts right.. that's coz the pig is ALWAYS sleeping on my bed while im studying.. so that's how and when i steal those numbers from his hp by remembering familiar names he mentioned.. HAHA

It's really a great experience to plan someone else's bday party man! And this was especially challenging... coz the planning and everything was right in the midst of my exams and i can actually study it as my 6th module "dear's surprise 21st"... haha

Went to fetch dear from Pasir Ris Mrt at 655 b4 people started streaming in... So we planned to bring him in at bout 730-745 so as to wait for enough people to give him the surprise factor! haha...But well sadly, dear and I missed the 715 shuttle bus in coz we were still buying drinks.. and so we had to walk all the way into AlohaLoyang! So we walked and walked and as we were about to reach the guard house, I blind folded him and led him in..

he looks like some terrorist with the blindfold.. haha

It was super funny i tell u! He kept tripping and getting smacked by tree branches and all.. HAHA.. then he almost fell into the pool luckily i pulled him back fast enough.. lol.. and Omg.. by the time we reached the unit, we were both sweating like pigs and so tired from all the walking and laughing.. haha But well.. the surprise and all was enough to camouflage all tiredness and sweat.. :))

Another Bestie's 21!

Just celebrated Dennis' last farewell dinner on Monday, after school. It seems like it was only yesterday that we last saw him.. hmmm.. somehow or rather.. I feel that there is something missing from the clique, it's like no longer the same..

Well, dennis.. It's good that you have realized your dream! and meanies will always be behind you pushing you to your limits! :) We will really misssss your "aeiiiyoh", your Jap songs when we go singing, a vball kaki, miss your hse to have the activity called "Sports @ Dennis' house", miss you as someone who always offers to take pictures for us, miss your dress-sense (ie. your painter jeans, in fashion shirts and vests), gonna miss your funny talks, expressions and actions...

BEEZY WEEK

It'a been a week since i last blogged! Last week was a hectic hectic week man.. 2 midterm tests.. tutorials.. 2 assignments.. 2 reports.. 2 projects..WOW! its amazing i managed to survive man! haha

Well Last friday was a splendid night! Meanies had a stayover at Cindy's house! Spending the night making gifts for Dennis's farewell this coming Thursday.. So sad to see a good friend leaving Singapore to study in Japan for 4 years.. like the clique is not complete.. hmmm..ah wells.. but at least that's Dennis dream.. so shall wish him all the best! =D and hey... his Japan girl is damn pretttyyyy man! He showed us the pictures of the girl he knew years back in Japan during a school exchange in sec sch.. in the recent months, the Jap girl got in touch with him! so qiao! he is going Japan to study soon.. haha! Cant wait to see him bring the girl back the next tym he comes back to Singapore.. HAHA..

Oh.. so 1 meanie is leaving but coincidentally, a week ago, meanie no. 10 came in! and guess who?! - MERVIN!!
hahaha.. to suspicion, he got attached with Cindy! Feels so funnie.. hmm but well it's a happy thing! so -*cheers*- :D

Just came back from Siglap for dinner...Before that, dad brought family to Aranda to check out the size and rooms for my 21st birthday chalet in August.. whoohoo.. :D well.. we saw and compared it with NSRCC in Changi and think that the latter is much bigger and the environment is so much nicer.. haha so well.. we have decided to hold it at NSRCC :D

Oh! then... VERY COINCIDENTALLY... i saw one of Lloyd's classmate from TPJC.. then was wondering if his birthday party, which Mervin has invited me to, was there too! So i called Mervin and omg... yes! It was there! HAHA.. so funie.. so ended up meeting them and wished Lloyd a happy 21st.. The world is so very small man! lol...

Career Fair.

Went career fair with tingfeng, melvin and shuhui today! :D
we went to check out companies offering internships and at the same tym, weighing our market value. haha
End up? I would say it's quite cui.. haha.. the demand for Environmental Engineers these days dropped from 2 years back man..Coz we are considered specialised courses.. so the number of companies offering us our specialties are pretty limited... we saw like so many companies looking for Mechanical/ Electrical Engineers..hmmm.. sian..
Well.. then we were thinking since we are as specialised as ISE, ChemEng etc. our starting pay should be higher than normal graduates from other courses! YAY!!! =D Hahaha...-i love moneyyyyy...-
oh then i was JUST COMMENTING to them that if next tym end up jobless.. maybe they will see me serving them on plane.. "morning sir, chicken or beef for you?" or "Any drink for you sir?"... then ok expected... MANY MANY MANY comments from Tingfeng and melvin shot out to suan me bout my height and everything.. -.-

It's such a sweeeeet sweeeeeet Valentine's....

This year's Vday is a surprise, surprises and more surprises one! haha.. Simply lovin' SURPRISES!

Yesterday, I had a whole day of lecture so was in sch the whole day.. then yh had this company event from 10-2.. so after his event he came to my house and started hiding his vday gifts in my room... trying to surprise me.. haha..

So ok.. after school, he fetched me from Bouna Vista and we went to eat at Waraku at Central! Yum! haha.. (I actually told him not to tell me anything so it will be a surprise and indeed it was!! haha )

After dinner, we had some simple walk down clarke quay, immersing in the atmosphere.. then we saw this turkish ice cream seller doing some tricks.. so entertaining..haha and we passed Hooters (the restaurant served by scantily dressed women), then proceeded to the Gmax and Extreme swing to watch Angmohs ride the 2 rides. It was like WOW! so many ppl crowded around to watch..So FUN la! I want to sittttttttt!! haha

Tired.. tired.. Went home and I was excited to give him my presents.. but the moment i reached home i saw this big portable mini fridge on my table.. then feeling excited, i asked if that was my present... haha.. then he was like " you open la! it's yours! Open!" So i opened and i saw oranges, bai nian bag, chocolates inside... and i knew it was from his company event.. -.- haha.. So actually it was his lucky draw prize ...

as i was getting disappointed, i turned and saw this box hiding beside my mirror.. so i looked closer and saw it's my vday present! WHOOHOO!

(When I saw the box, I was expecting some different pendant but
it's actually exactly the same star i lost a few weeks ago! Damn funnie!
So he was like saying "Coz I know u felt guilty and sad that u lost the star i gave u ma..so i bought u the star again lo..haha")

So i thot it was over and wanted to put my things back into my cupboard.. then i saw another present in my wardrobe! this time is a quiz from him! haha.. he made the board and came up with his vry own Valentine's DaVinci Riddle...so difficult can... made me so tired from solving the riddles.. lol.. u can try solving-->

So ok well.. it was finally over for his part (feeling so drained from all the thinking)..den I gave him mine! haha.. one of the presents is a self-composed video of myself and our photos! I feel it's like super corny.. ( shall not show u guys.. im shy..) haha.. and yeap.. he watched it and was like laughing at it la! lol..

so anyway, it's the end of the episode for Valentine's Day' 08! Sweeeeeetttt... :D

1. KungFu Dunk ( 7/10)
- funny, storyline is commendable
- actions are exaggerated & silly but that is the catch point of the show
- bball fans will appreciate the show more

- erm. ( 5.8/10)
- For those who aren't exposed to vulgar and daily dialect convo and m'sian way of speaking, you will find it funny.
- jokes are crude, blood and violence are common throughout the show and guess it should be put under N16 or M18 instead

- (5.5/10)
- I personally think it's a simple yet thoughtful piece of work from Stephen Chow to cater to kids' taste but storyline is too predictable
- not much action and pretty disappointing

NEW YEAR EVE. A GOOD START TO THE NEW YEAR!

yay! dyed my hair last sunday with mum..super satisfied with the outcome coz its so pretty pretty! HAHA.. the base i dyed brown purple mahagony then highlighted light brown.. whoohoo! so sweet! i actually wanted much lighter.. but my hairdresser was like saying i'll look vry lian.. so yeap.. to play safe.. i trusted her and dropped the idea.. luckily. HAHA

Yesterday was a super happie happie day for me!

First, met up with Cindy and her friend for threading :) Then we went to ZARA and caught this sweet top for like 10 bucks?? then cindy bought this skirt for like 30??? ma chiam bugis.. but oh my! 10 bucks for the brand zara and its quality is super worth it.. haha :))
Then, her friend left so Cindy and I decided to get something to eat and shun bian shop for dear's vday present.. so on our way to Heeren's, a lost wallet caught Cindy's attention and we went to check it out!

Wah.. that wallet belongs to this ABC girl and her IC and more than 50 bucks were inside la.. so we were thinking if we should put it back to where we found it.. but decided not to coz we don't trust S'poreans.. HAHA... so yup, because of the wallet, we walked from PartyWorld to Kiliney road!! so super far la can! then must ask for the location of the "nearest police post" 3 times.. cui.. damn tiring..

But well, when we reported the case, the after taste of doing a good deed still lingers in the heart and I felt so sweet la!!! Like wah! I did such a gd thing today! yay! haha..

Zusammen '08

wah shagged... after a whole day of sports! CHess organized an event today for people in Chem Eng. and Envi. Eng. but apparently, many from other disciplines and even faculty came to join to fill in numbers to form a team of 8. haha

It was super fun!! We gathered at SRC at 9am and played many sports like basketball( x2), frisbee (x2), soccer and floorball! Then our team consists of me, tingfeng, melvin, fabian, shaun ( EVE), tracy, zhongwei (EE) and weihan (physics...) haha.. wah.. seriously, i tink our team is super qiang man! imagine we THRASHED others in 5 out of 6 games! - floorball was the only game we lost.. although fabian was from AJ sch team.. but floorball this kind of game can rarely have one man show one lo.. haha.. so end up... CUI... Haha..

but well i really enjoyed myself man! made quite a few friends here and there, especially the gal whose shorts i pulled during the frisbee match.. HAHAHA.. actually.. it's lyk i wanted to catch the frisbee weihan threw, so i was looking at the disc then when i reached my hand out to grab, i actually pulled open the girl's shorts slightly, then i was so stunned i released then it went "piak"! then she was like "ouchhh"... HAHAHAHA the scene was super funny la! :D

Oh.. then during soccer, I was like desperately trying to kick the ball properly haha..then i didnt know there is this rule like your leg cannot go over your head or what... then i wanted to kick this high ball..so ALMOST kicked this guy's face.. HAHA... "hazardous player".. well, then the other people who werent playing were all laughing at me the whole game as they saw the way i played.. - joker of the day..- haha

Well, these were the fun and interesting times during the matches la.. while some matches were really aggressive and rough and all.. well, maybe im just used to the games im playing now like netball, volleyball- "non-rough" kind of sports..so wasnt quite happy when the other team pushed and knocked me la..but ah wells.. it's part of contact sports la..so such roughness cannot be avoided anyway.. so just accept it lo.. then after the game, shake hands and be good.

But one thing i cnt cnt cnt accept is that i actually gt molested by this Ah Tiong from some team la!!!! That was our last game already ( the 2nd frisbee game)... WTH.. wat the shyt la.. the stupid ah tiong team play lyk crazy!! they are so cheat, so rough, so action, no sportsmanship and full of sai la! The ah tiong guys dun care if you are a girl and they will just defend and block you like u r a guy with a lot of contact.. then one of the stupid idiots actually pressed his arm into my chests la!!!!! WTF!! then i thot its jus like accidently.. but he kept on.. so i shouted at him in his bloody face lo.. damn lao ti ko.. sucks man.. stupiddd... RARRRR...

oh well.. wateva.. we won 2nd anyway.. haha.. so the prize is actually 75 bucks, split between 8 ppl.. so each one like ~$9.. not too bad la.. go and make friends, exercise still can earn money.. HAHA

Yesterday was the Youth Olympics vball thing organised by CapitaLand. Not bad la.. quite fun.. :) It was held at Tampines Mall Open Plaza at level 4.. wah.. the place is lyk so super small.. we had difficulty even playing pairwork la.. because the place is so packed and tiny.. and we have to avoid the graffiti drawing behind us.. we decided to play beside the fountain.. and guess wat? the ball kept splashing into the fountain haha

Then the organiser told us there is no t-shirt.. it's lyk harrrr!...but still gt 20 bucks la.. so luckily... if not i would have killed myself.. went for nothing.. HAHA

So for 4 hours, we taught lil kids that were interested and just did basic passes lo... damn slack.. but still earned 20 bucks.. so was worth it.. haha.. oh then the kids who played were mainly the Taekwondo ppl.. some of the younger ones were so funnie man..looking at the way they played makes me want to laugh out loud.. haha

oh! then Kent Ridge's Cheerleading team was dere too! Saw ming quan in his costume.. so damn weird please..oops lol

Yes we will!! bla bla.." wanted to laugh at it myself during the interview.. lol.. then Junqiang was like saying.. if people hears it.. sure laugh to death. haha

YAYyyy! Lectures were from 9-10am yest coz the 2-3pm lecturer couldnt make it.. so gd for me! so super happy.. ate breakfast during lect, so i munch munch then not long after that. oh! Time's up! HAHA :))

Then i went swimming at Geylang East after that with a strong will to jian fei! and so i swam the usual 30 freestyle and oh dear... my timing was like crap. I took ~ 40 mins la! It's like SO longgg.. wah this really shows that I've gained extra fats here and there. rarrr... well, nevertheless, I still feel exercised! whoohoo... working to the sexayyys.. haha

And my whole afternoon was spent napping and dvd-ings.. wah.. if sch life was like dat everyday, with only fun, games, orientations, camps... man! I would have loved UNI. haha...

So exciting!! none of us went there before. And when we came out of the mrt, we were all like WOAHHHHHHHH... the place is like so super garden-y... and like stylo milo man... haha..

ok.. then the place so packed with ppl! and we decided to eat at the foodcourt. WAH.. seriously, the foodcourt like some ��'s den la! UNCLE'S WAKE

This past 2 weeks have had many ups and downs for me.
On the 4th of Jan'08, uncle passed away. That was the day Games Day was supposed to be held but i couldnt make it coz I've to help out and attend the wake at Casket. Double Sadness.

On the 5th, Marcus 21st Birthday.. I missed that too coz the christian services took place that night and I've to be present. Well, we sang Amazing Grace, which never fails to make me cry. This song is just damn sad. Wonder why my name must be in there. Sad name. Triple Sadness.

anw, HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY! to amazing jc clique-ly marcus!

Then, cremation was on the 6th, we had to be at Casket by 4 to take the bus to Mandai. So that morning, meanies had a simple game of Bball. Happiness. By 5, songs and scripts and the cremation took place. oh dear. Everyone cried like mad. Sadness square.

Well, it has been like rush here rush there, prepare this and that for the whole 3 days. And when relatives come, we have to like entertain them, chitchat with them, prepare food and drinks for them, its somehow like a pre-chinese new year thing la. Super tiring i must say.

But welllll... now, uncle is being washed off all his sickness and safely brought back into the arms of the lord. Happiness square :)

By my activities for the week was so packed I've to squeeze in tym and PangSae my uni klas bbq to do up this proposal. HAHA

Just read Cindy's blog and her complaints bout the bidding points this sem. OMG. yes yes.. this sem is damn crazy can? I wanted to take this basic finance module with TingFeng so we decided to put 559 points on it coz It's examless. But well, by the morning of the deadline, the MINIMUM bid point was 557 with 429 ppl competing for 280 places. ok nvrm, thot we've gt a chance. But guess wat?? 4 hours before the deadline... MINIMUM bid was 610 pts. with 488 ppl snatching for 280 places. As you can see, our bid of 559 was super submerged man. 垫底!!!! wth man! u noe y?? coz most of the year 4s show handed la!!! like wat? thousands and thousands of points la! and evil ppl like Siyong( who's a yr 4) can laugh at me in my face! RARRR...

So wateva la har.. just 勉强自己 to take this dumb module called dunno wat Colours and Visions lo.. sounds like some blind module. -.-

Last night's christmas party was simply splendid.

It's our turn this year to host the party and as usual, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends were invited to join in the fun! However, this year, dad had a change in his party plans and he decided to include quizzes and games in it. Dad, GOOD JOB! Response was damn gd! =D

Anyway, I owe it to the warm enthusiasm from family and friends that we could have such a happening party! Thanks to these beloved! *muacks! =D Also, MEANIES! LOVE you guys sooo super much! The party wouldnt have been so loud and crazy without you people! Thanks once again! :))

Then, after the party, we gave each and every meanie something we made! The craftwork from the last 3 days!! Ahh.. dat's like how meaningful and sincere man... love it! and when it was 1159, we counted down to Cindy's and Junkiat's birthday! We gave them this surprise which is a song we wrote to them. Swee Kuan played his guitar "un-pro-ly" and we sang the lyrics to the song ' ��'.. it was like so touching and funnie la.. haha.. so we spent the whole early morning mastering our ��( but.. now with Daryl as our guitarist instead.. lol )=D

Yesterday was soooo fun! Dad brought bros and I + Uncle Mok and Aloy to explore different parts of Singapore! We went to many many places like Jurong Hill( garden of fame), Kent Ridge Park, Labrador Park, Kranji Countryside- Hay's Dairies to look and feed goats and bought some milk! :)), - fish farm with humungous man-eating fishes and huge kois worth a million each, - plants and nursery gardens, and we looked out from the End Of Singapore!!- the fishing jetty at Kranji. Then, after lunch at NSRCC Kranji, we went out to tour Singapore in the car coz it was pouring like crazy. So i ate my medicine and drowsily slpt the whole 1 hour journey! so damn tired i was. haha

oh yes! finally uploaded my pictures from Last saturday's St James Power House- pageant of the Queen of Queens! It was fun la!! so many pretty pretty girls from the 4 Unis and erm yup without doubt.. from the 11 contestants.. you can just conclude that NUS is cui... ( no offence to NUS ppl) but that's the truth man.. haha dunno isit because the pretty girls from NUS are too busy or don't bother bout such pageants at all.. lol

and thanks to Jk and Sk.. they almost sabo-ed me on stage for some games la.. but luckily Hassan shouted "Cindy" damn loudly.. then attention of the emcees was diverted towards her from the other end of the stage as she wasnt standing with us for the show. So we all started pointing in Cindy's direction and sabo-ed her on stage. It was hilarious man. Then she paired off with this NUS guy that looks like Hongzhou. HAHA

So bout 1, we were all tired after dancing and all coz we started out vry early. Then Hassan drove us to Fong Seng to eat Prata then we moved on to DE Club to spent the nite playing "asshole Dai Di". HAHA

~*December*~ is such a happy happy month for me! At least for the well spent last 2 weeks! and yeah! there'll be more fun the next 2 upcoming weeks! why? Coz there'll be many gatherings, events and stuff to keep grace occupied till school reopens!! whoohoO!

(eeee yerrrrr... "school reopens"... these 2 words just dampened my mood to the max... lol)

but well.. lets put that aside and welcome the christmas mood!!!!! yayyyy! This week of christmas is gonna be super fun-filled!
